The new 007 track is out, and I don't like it...

I was getting really jazzed up about Casino Royale until I saw this clip of Chris Cornell's theme song for the new movie. I like Audioslave and all, but this just doesn't seem to fit. If only those rumors about Goldfrapp doing the title track were true. Oh well, I never liked the title track for From Russia With Love either, but that is still one of the best Bond films, and probably close to what this new iteration of James Bond is trying to acheive with less reliance on super-spy gadgets and over-the-top villains. And Duran Duran's A View To A Kill is probably one of my favorite 007 tunes, but also one of the worst movies in the franchise. [from Pop Candy]

I actually like the movies that are light on gadgets.

And Moonraker was the absolute worst.

Yeah, Moonraker was a quite a good movie...for me to poop on! Sometimes I think they just made that film because they thought it would be cool to show 007 doing the horizontal mambo in zero gravity. And I'm still trying to figure out how they got away with the name Holly Goodhead for the main Bond girl.

I've heard the original book by Ian Fleming is actually good, although I haven't had a chance to pick it up myself.

But A View To A Kill still goes down as my least favorite, even with Christopher Walken. Tanya Roberts had to be the most annoying Bond girl in history, although I think Denise Richards as Christmas Jones really came close.
