Isnt' CGI technology wonderful?

I've been pretty 'eh' on the whole Fantastic Four movie franchise, although Michael Chiklis is a good Thing. I just caught this trailer for the next movie. This looks sweeeeet.

Yep, Silver Surfer. The best thing to ever come out of the Fantastic Four.

I was actually surprised Fantastic Four broke $100 million in ticket sales here in the U.S.--it was kind of an 'eh' movie. I'll probably watch the sequel strictly to see the Silver Surfer. That was pretty darn cool!

As my biggest comic reading friend here said about the first FF "It's really funny, you know for a movie that's not supposed to be..." And that summed it up for me... But, man, the new one one does look cool.
When will we finally see superhero crossover movies like we see in comics? I could have just imagined the smart ass quip Spidey would have had seeing the silver streak go by, and then the shooting flame go by as he's hanging on a random wall. "Man, rush hour just gets worse and worse with these new import cars everyone is driving."

Arlighty then Wander, get to writing and we'll pitch it to Marvel (who is wisely starting their own movie production company instead of just taking the table scraps their licensing provides).

I mean, these are the guys who signed off on the Daredevil, Elektra, and TWO agonizingly bad Punisher movies. Hell, we could have written a better Punisher movie when we were twelve.

I think we DID write a better Punisher movie when we were twelve...

You guys actually wasted your money and watched those Punisher movies? Oh, wait--I wasted two hours of a perfectly good afternoon watching that David Hasselhoff version of Nick Fury: Agent of SHIELD. Never mind.

Actually, I imagine there was probably a decent script for Daredevil, but some studio big wig had to go and muck it up with visions of Ben Affleck and Colin Farrel bringing in a high dollar opening weekend box office. I almost wish that Marvel had sort of a side studio-art house kind of production unit that would let some really imaginative visionaries take our beloved Marvel superheroes for a spin. That would be my pitch.
