Just understated enough to not make you look like a geek...

I was a bit appalled by those Reebok Kool-Aid flavored shoes, but I think these kicks are a bit more worthy of the Kool-Aid Gang uniform.  Check out these Star Wars-inspired Superstar sneakers from adidas.  Hemp uppers for the Yoda in you or black patent leather if you're a bit on the Dark side of the Force.

I love the packaging. I could easily see myself wearing these, but good grief I can't afford 'em.

I guess it's a huge celebrity thing right now to wear Star Wars gear. Someone I work with showed me a pic of Leo Di'whateva wearing this incredible Vader t-shirt at a club. They asked if I had the shirt (I wear a LOT of SW shirts). The shirt was incredible and I said I'd never even seen it before. They said it was from a new line of Star Wars stuff found only at Saks (or Macy's I can't remember now); the shirt was $120.
We're all so hip!
I actually just think it's actors trying to get Lucas to put them into the new live action series my self.

I'm a little worried that Lucas is pimping out Star Wars just a tad too much. Then again, if he didn't, I wouldn't be playing with this Darth Vader bobblehead sitting on my desk right now.

Lucas basically invented merchandising movies, so this is nothing new. Whatever he can put Star Wars on and sell, he will.

That being said, he funds the movies himself, so he can do them the way he wants. Ergo, no trash and trinkets, no more new Star Wars stuff.

"...he can do them the way he wants."

That's a bit of a double-edged sword when it comes to Lucas.

Oh yeah, random thought when I saw hemp shoes inspired by Yoda. Can you imagine Yoda sitting around his little hut on Dagobah toking it up? MmmmmmHmmmHmmmHmmmmmm!

OK, that was really nerdy.

It explains the whole talking backwards thing though.
