For Those Who Missed The Premier Last Night...

Here it is in all its glory. Fun for you, a major religious moment for me. Ahh... I love being me.

You'd love being me more. Just kidding.

Well, if I had ever actually played Halo (1 or 2), I might understand. Cool commercial, though.

Yeah, the wife keeps asking what I want for Christmas, and I keep saying Xbox 360 or PS3. I'd even settle for a Wii, which actually looks kind of fun. I'm not quite up to Ralphie from A Christmas Story in my obsession, but I'll always have a glimmer of hope that perhaps my lady will actually get me something I want for a change rather than an overpriced tie or a nonstick skillet.

If my wife is reading this: Honey, I'm totally kidding. I love my All-Clad pan. Really. I'm actually hoping to outfit the Gang with cellphones and Bluetooth headsets so we can all online cook at the same time.

I was talking with my Mom tonight about how much of the world (myself included) is unaware of the story medium video/computer games have become. I played the first Halo, and I actually liked watching the little movies it played between levels more than playing the game itself. I sort of wish I could just watch a movie of it, without having to put in 40 hours of hand-cramping game time.

But watching that promo really set off my wonder. I tell ya, those Final Fantasy commercials I see really look, well, fantastic.
