I don't know if I have mentioned this here or not, but it was pirates that just recently made me think I could like where I live better.

Having such a fond affection for Colorado and Texas, I have found it hard to like much of anything about NC. My wife and I went to a play though about the legendary Black Beard. He called North Carolina his home, and I thought that was pretty cool.

On a side note, they think the pirate accent derives from Northern England or something like that.
