Actually, with my experience with the iPhone lately, this isn't far off. Case in point--these are the steps I have to take to call my wife:
1. Press the home button to awaken the iPhone. 2. Slide the lock function on the home screen to unlock the iPhone. 3. Select Contacts. 4. Find my wife's name, and select. 5. Select her mobile number on her contact page, and the call is finally made.
In comparison, to call up my wife on my old Blackberry Pearl? Hold down the "2" button programmed with her number on speed dial.
