Farewell John Hughes

You were my favorite comedy writer and one of the best directors in the game. Your films defined my life. Thank you.

The movie soundtracks used in his films were a huge influence on my musical tastes. Whatever happened to John Hughes after the 80's anyway?

AUTOMOBEEEEEEELE?!!!

Well after personally netting over $150 million for writing and producing Home Alone, he really saw no need to work and occasionally banged out some scripts. It's his writing credits that blow me away. He wrote movies and shows you had no idea about. I read that his script for National Lampoons Vacation came from a real vacation from his childhood.

So I looked up his writing credits on IMDB. I guess he peaked after Home Alone. He's the guy responsible for the Beethoven movies and Maid in Manhattan? Then again, I wasn't aware he also wrote Mr. Mom--that movie still makes me laugh.
