Star Wars: The Old Republic

The first cinematic trailer for the new Star Wars MMO was realeased today. It doesn't show any actual in-game footage, but it is perhaps the finest piece of Star Wars action put on film in a very long time.
Just a little info on the game, it takes place about 1000 years before the films and focuses on the Sith/Jedi wars. No release date for the game yet, but rest assured I'll be keeping you ahead, abreast, and afoot of new info about it.

Wow that looks very cool! My one complaint though is that the granite floors seem to crumble like a hot biscuit when people are skidding around.

I would love to see a comparison of the Jedi Temple and its surroundings compared to the movies. Or rather, how much has the landscape changed in 1000 years?

What's with all the slo-mo? Did John Woo direct this or something?

So is this going to be on the Wii?

It's a pc only massive multiplayer game. Sorry. The graphic capabilities of the Wii, while great for what it needs, is no better then the Nintendo Gamecube from 2001. Will there be a Mac version? Not sure, Bioware is tied very closely to Microsoft. Thier SW: Knights Of The Old Republic games were PC and XBox only, as was there last game they released the amazing Mass Effect. Mass Effect, by the way, was optioned by George Lucas for all future movie and television rights. Might want to read a little into the story of that game because chances are that it will be George's next big project.
